Default Illustrated comic strip: Words By Dashface

Since around the time of the founding of the Official Wiki, c-dy and I have been making a series of Guild Wars comic strips. We're not the fastest out there—we only have six strips at the moment—but hopefully the pretty colours make up for it. Despite the advantage of colours, it's no Healbot Blues. Still, I would love to hear what you think of it.

Comments welcome, especially if you like them!

Some are a bit hard to understand for me, I do really like the texttype, drawstyle and "Interface" though.

Wow! Nice artworks. Love the way you can make the characters come alive with strong expressions.

BUT aren't you at all worried to put your images on the wiki? Since wiki is a format where all content becomes free for anyone to take and use. You should probably at least slap some kind of copyright texts onto every image page and state that they are NOT released under the CreativeCommons licence imho. Especially images on wiki tend to be troublesome like that. Currently it says at the bottom of the page that the content is released under CC licence: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/

Just a bit worried here.

But great artworks! Love your style. I'll have to spend some time to read all those comics. :]

The only difference the current licensing introduces is that there is technically a legal avenue for others to do other things with the strips. If somebody was going to take them and remove the attribution from the image, I doubt that they'd have the scruples to restrain themselves from doing the same thing if the image had a different license.

Besides, this is fanart. I would much rather read feedback than be credited. And it is for entertainment only, not for profit. I'm not going to set up a CafePress shop with "Xunlai, the Great Destroyer" t-shirts.

Nice comics, and the artwork looks great too. I really like the Gwen one, I've always been wondering why she wants so many red iris flowers :P

There seems to be a theme here!

I wonder if I should have a page with explanations, but I worry that that would spoil the jokes. It also doesn't help that the first one is so opaque—that first strip might be making people resign themselves to not understanding. (The first strip is an allegory for the migrating from Guildwiki to GWW, by the way.)

Very nicely drawn, and I love the subtle humor.

Do you hand draw those or do you use some sort of software?
